I go by Jenn.
CraftyStitches was created on the dining table of my little apartment. I love to sew. My sewing machine makes me feel invincible. I can do anything on my sewing machine. I was introduced to sewing through my fashion production family. My mom worked in a knitting factory, my father was a tailor and my grandmother sewed in a sewing factory. I grew up sewing all sorts of stuff out of the left over fabrics of my mom's factory stuff.
When I first started, a co-worker in the office asked me to make a jewelry roll to carry her jewelry for a trip to Africa. I started cutting, sewing and made 3 jewelry roll examples for her. Since she was in London, I had to somehow sell it to her online. I created my own etsy website, took pictures, and listed the items online. She loved them and bought 1 roll. I bundled the rolls and sold my first set of The Perfect Bridesmaids®. Yes, the rest does feel like history.
CraftyStitches has grown in ways I never dreamed. Thank you for checking out my shop and I look forward to continuous crafty designs. Be patient with us as we grow this wonderful little home-based business. Thanks for supporting an artful economy.
Where to start? When Jenn and I first talked, everything clicked. I understood everything she was saying and was right in line with it and ready to jump on board! I’m a hippie at heart. I love anything handmade and earthy, browns and greens, bonus points if it’s organic. When I’m not at CraftyStitches, I’m either studying for my IT classes at GMU, taking photos with my Canon Rebel, making music, or checking my endless emails from Jenn :)
I actually love woodworking and making things with my hands. I come from a family that worked with their hands a lot so it is definitely in my blood. I’ve been sewing for CraftyStitches for over 1 year now and really do love sewing. When I’m not sewing, I do love spending time with my kids – just playing and playing.
Singing is my first love. I just returned from spending 3 years in China as a Performance Singer. I learned how to sew from my mom who is an amazing high seamstress dressmaker in the Philippines. I love sewing and creating fun little crafty things. When I am not sewing, I also love to crochet, and draw.
When I first came to CraftyStitches we all got along so well I decided to get comfortable! I went to school for marketing and sales is what I love. But can't forget music, traveling, shopping, and ofcourse fashion! I would describe my style as vintage/ecclectic, I wear what makes me happy and let the clothes do the rest.
